Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio faced an unusual moment in Ibiza when police briefly stopped and searched him while he tried to enter a private tequila party. Surprisingly, the officers did not immediately recognize the 50-year-old star.

DiCaprio, dressed in black with his usual baseball cap and chain, was seen in a video obtained by the Daily Mail patiently waiting as authorities checked all guests. In the background, a woman could be heard saying, “They are searching me full-on right now.”

He was joined in Ibiza by his girlfriend, 27-year-old Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, and friends including actor Joel Edgerton and his partner Christine Centenera. Witnesses confirmed that the search was routine, though it momentarily embarrassed DiCaprio.

A source told Page Six that every guest was checked, and the police simply didn’t recognize DiCaprio at first. “It’s funny—they did a double take and then he went in!” the source added, explaining that he wasn’t singled out.

The party, held at a private villa by Patron and Spanish actor-singer Aron Piper, drew many celebrities. Reports say rapper Travis Scott was denied entry, while Kendall Jenner and DiCaprio’s friend Tobey Maguire successfully got inside.

DiCaprio often visits Ibiza and has been enjoying the island this summer. Earlier, he and Ceretti were seen on Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s yacht.

The couple also attended Bezos and Sánchez’s wedding in Venice in June, where Ceretti experienced a wardrobe issue, tearing her vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress.

The couple has been dating since summer 2023. Ceretti has spoken about the difficulties of being known as “Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriend.”

In March, she told Vogue France that the label is “extremely annoying” and added, “It’s not nice to think that you can’t love whoever you want because of the labels people need to stick on you.”
