Arsenal confirm signing defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia in £13m deal

Arsenal have officially completed the signing of 21-year-old defender Cristhian Mosquera from Spanish club Valencia. The Premier League club agreed to pay an initial fee of £13 million for the talented player.

He signed a five-year contract with Arsenal, with an option for a one-year extension. The agreement between Arsenal and Valencia includes possible add-ons based on Mosquera’s performances.

Mosquera has already joined the Arsenal squad in Singapore, where they are currently preparing for the new season. Before flying out, he passed his medical in London and completed the necessary paperwork.

Speaking after his move, Mosquera said the transfer was the result of a lot of effort. He described Arsenal as a historic and massive club and shared how impressed he and his family felt after arriving in London.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta also shared his excitement about the signing. He said the young defender already has strong experience in La Liga and praised his intelligence, speed, and versatility in defense.

Arteta added that Mosquera has huge potential and will be a great addition to the team. He welcomed the player and his family, saying they look forward to helping him settle in and grow with the club.
