Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in London receiving medical treatment after falling ill. He had travelled there in April for what was meant to be a simple medical check-up.
However, things didn’t go as planned. Reports say his routine check-up turned into something more serious when he suddenly became sick, and he had to be admitted to the hospital for proper care.
Bashir Ahmad, who served as Buhari’s Digital Media Aide during his presidency, has spoken out to correct rumours spreading online. Some media reports claimed Buhari was in critical condition and had been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Ahmad confirmed that the former president is indeed receiving medical attention. But he explained that the situation is not as bad as some are saying. According to him, Buhari is stable, responding to treatment, and doctors are hopeful about his recovery.
He also thanked people from around the world who have been praying and sending good wishes. Ahmad said these kind words mean a lot and that they continue to pray for Buhari’s full recovery.
He ended his statement by showing appreciation for all the support the former president has received.
