Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, known as 2Face or 2Baba, has opened up about how hard his marriage to Annie Macaulay was.

He said the marriage felt like being stuck in a prison.

According to him, his life was even in danger during the marriage.

2Face made this known in a short clip from an upcoming episode of the +234 Mzansi Podcast, which is hosted by comedians Nedu, Acapella, and South African media figure Kifilwe.

While talking about his failed marriage, he said, “That thing they call ‘living in bondage’ is real. There were people who wanted to kill me.”

2Face and Annie got married in May 2012. They have two daughters together, named Isabella and Olivia.

On January 26, 2025, 2Face announced their separation through a post on social media that sparked a lot of reactions.

Soon after the announcement, he started showing off his new girlfriend, Natasha Osawuru, who is a lawmaker in Edo State.
