U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, asking the nation to opt for peace or risk facing more military action from the United States.
This statement follows a series of U.S. airstrikes that hit three Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend.
During a Saturday night speech, Trump called Iran the “bully of the Middle East” and urged them to embrace peace. He warned that if Iran refuses, future attacks would be more devastating and executed with greater ease.
Trump stated that the situation must change. He warned Iran to choose peace to avoid further tragedy, highlighting that the U.S. military has the capability to strike swiftly and accurately if necessary.
The Iranian Atomic Energy Organization denounced the attacks on its nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—as a “brutal assault” and a violation of international agreements such as the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
The Iranian agency accused the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of being complicit in the attacks. It declared that Iran would not give up its nuclear ambitions and called on global leaders to oppose the U.S. actions and defend Iran’s right to nuclear development.
