Actress Hilda Dokubo is worried about the recent attacks happening in Benue State. She shared her thoughts on social media, wondering about the help given so far.

On her Instagram page, Hilda said people in Benue have been told to “reconcile.” But she asked a strong question: who should they make peace with?

She questioned, “Should they reconcile with the cattle, the herdsmen, the dead people, the families who lost loved ones, or the government?”

Earlier, at a meeting with President Tinubu on June 18, the traditional leader of Tor Tiv, James Ayse, spoke about the problems in Benue. He said that there is wrong information about the crisis which has lasted many years.

James Ayse explained that the killings are not simple fights between herders and farmers. Instead, he said the attacks are planned to take over land in the area.

Despite this, some people have asked the people of Benue to accept and live peacefully with the herders.
