On Wednesday, June 19, Justice Chizoba Orji of the FCT High Court approved her release on bail of N50 million.

The judge said there was no reason to keep her in custody, as she has shown that she is ready to face the court process.

According to the court’s order, she must bring one surety who is known to be honest and owns land in Abuja.

The decision was based on Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution and the Administration of Criminal Justice Act of 2015.

The next hearing for the case is scheduled for September 23.

Meanwhile, the court rejected the Federal Government’s plea to send Senator Natasha to prison while her trial continues.

The Federal Government is taking her to court over claims she made. She had said that Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello tried to arrange her assassination.
