Nigerian rapper and activist Falz is not holding back his thoughts.
Recently, after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made a statement about the violent attacks in Benue State, Falz shared his feelings on X (formerly Twitter). He said the president’s message was just another usual statement that didn’t really offer much.
In his post, President Tinubu condemned the attacks and urged security agencies and political leaders to take quick action to stop the violence.
“Enough is enough! I have directed the security agencies to act decisively… Our people must live in peace…”
But Falz wasn’t impressed.
Quoting the president’s post, he wrote:
“You have consistently shown that you are incapable of performing the primary duty of securing lives and property of your citizens. This routine statement does not cut it.”
Falz has been very vocal about the problem of insecurity in Nigeria and the government’s slow response. His recent comments show the frustration many Nigerians feel about the repeated violence in Benue and other parts of the country.
Since Falz spoke out, many people online have joined the conversation. Some agree with him and feel the government needs to do more, while others think his words were too strong.
This shows how serious the issue of safety is in Nigeria, and how many people want better action from their leaders.
