Rasheedat Ajibade, the captain of the Super Falcons, says the team is ready to win back the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in 2024.
In the last tournament, the Super Falcons lost the championship to South Africa’s team, Banyana Banyana.
The Super Falcons have been the most successful team in the history of WAFCON. They have won the title nine times so far.
Ajibade said the team is determined to be the best on the continent once again.
“There is a strong confidence in the team, and we are all focused on our goal. Everyone understands how important this is,” Ajibade said during the Super Falcons show.
The team will start their WAFCON 2024 journey in Morocco. Their first game will be against Tunisia on Sunday, July 6.
They will also play against Botswana and Algeria in the group stage.
The Super Falcons are ready and motivated to bring the trophy back home and win their tenth WAFCON title.
