Popular YouTuber P2istheName, whose real name was Philip Enewally, passed away at just 26 years old. He was found unconscious in the mail room of his apartment building in Los Angeles nearly three months ago.
On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner shared that Enewally died of natural causes on March 14.
His official cause of death was “sudden cardiac dysfunction” caused by a rare condition called solitary papillary muscle hypertrophy. This heart issue is a type of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which can lead to sudden heart failure.
Enewally collapsed in the mail room and was found shortly after. Paramedics tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at 3:11 p.m.
Authorities have not yet said if drugs or alcohol were involved. A full autopsy report is expected to come out later.
P2istheName was well-known for his gaming videos, especially for games like Fortnite and NBA 2K. Fans enjoyed his detailed game commentary and creative storytelling.
After his death, fellow YouTuber COLETHEMAN, who has close to a million subscribers, posted a heartfelt message online in his memory.
“I’m honestly at a loss for words,” he wrote. “He was always so kind to me and gave me so much content creation advice. May he rest in peace. This breaks my heart.”

Besides his YouTube career, Enewally recently started his own clothing line called DontMindUs. In the months before his passing, he shared videos about his move from Los Angeles to Atlanta and was often seen packing clothing orders into his Cybertruck.
His last video, titled “A regular night with my rich ‘psychotic’ friends,” was uploaded on February 24.
Although he had many accomplishments, Enewally shared that he had been struggling emotionally. He talked about feeling lost and being upset over lower video views. While he once received millions of views, his more recent videos had dropped to between 20,000 and 60,000 views — a change that reportedly affected him deeply.
