Rapper and businessman 50 Cent says he wants to speak with Donald Trump about fellow music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. But he made it clear that he’s not trying to influence any decision about a possible pardon.
The topic came up after Trump spoke in a recent Fox News interview, saying he might consider pardoning Diddy if he’s convicted in a federal sex trafficking case. In response, 50 Cent posted on social media saying, “He said some really bad things about Trump, it’s not ok. I’m gonna reach out so he knows how I feel about this guy.”
Many news outlets thought 50 Cent was trying to stop Trump from giving Diddy a pardon. But 50 later explained that’s not what he meant. He just wants to share his opinion with Trump, especially about the negative things Diddy has said about him.
“I didn’t say don’t pardon him,” 50 Cent posted later. “I just said he’s been disrespectful.” He said his goal is only to tell Trump how he feels—not to interfere with any legal decision.
Since Diddy’s legal issues started, 50 Cent has taken several jabs at him online. After Diddy was arrested in September, 50 shared memes and even used AI to create an image of himself wearing a “Free Diddy” T-shirt.
Right now, Diddy is facing serious federal charges. A woman using the fake name “Mia” has spoken in court, accusing him of sexual misconduct.
Meanwhile, Trump, who recently pardoned reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, has not ruled out the idea of pardoning Diddy. His comments have caused a lot of talk in the entertainment world and among political figures.
50 Cent hasn’t said exactly when he might meet Trump. But he says the point of the conversation is only to express his personal feelings—not to influence what happens in court.
