Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, met with Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia—better known as 2Face—over the weekend at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House in Makurdi.
The governor shared details of the meeting on his official Facebook page on Sunday night. He said that 2Face and his wife, Natasha, visited Benue to attend the “Induction Dinner and Official Unveiling of a New Phase of Leadership, Creativity, and Community Impact”.
According to Governor Alia, the event brought together people with talent and a shared passion to make a positive difference in the state.
During the dinner, the “1 Voice Benue Manifesto” was officially presented. The governor explained that this document is a call for unity, creativity, and action to improve the community.
He added that the highlight of the event was the gathering of some of Benue’s best entertainers. Their presence showed the rich creativity and talent that exists in the state.
Artists from different areas such as music, movies, comedy, fashion, and performance took part. The event showed that Benue’s creative industry is alive and full of energy.
Governor Alia said he is proud to support young people and creative minds. He believes this is just the beginning of something bigger for Benue.
It’s worth mentioning that 2Face was recently named the Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach by the governor, showing the administration’s strong support for the entertainment industry.
