Missing Lagos banker’s body found in morgue with machete cuts

The body of a young banker from Lagos named Osemudiamen Idemudia has been found at a morgue in the Yaba area. This happened several days after his family reported him missing.

Osemudiamen, who was 26 years old, worked at a bank in Ikota, Lagos. The last time he was seen was on the evening of May 9, near CMS on Lagos Island.

A man named Segun, who is related to the victim, said the body was found on Sunday, May 18. The family had been searching many hospitals and mortuaries in Lagos before they located him.

“We found Osemudiamen’s body in a morgue at Yaba,” Segun said sadly. “He had machete cuts on his head, face, and legs. He was murdered.”

Segun believes from the injuries that Osemudiamen was violently attacked and killed.

He also shared that the workers at the morgue told the family that police officers had brought in the body.

Segun added, “The morgue staff told us that policemen dropped off the body, but they couldn’t say where the body came from or give us any details about the officers.”

This lack of information from the morgue staff has made things more confusing and painful for the family.

Osemudiamen was laid to rest on Tuesday, May 20, by his grieving family.
