Transfer: Osimhen too big to play in Turkey — Fenerbahce chief, Koc

Ali Koc, the president of Fenerbahce, made headlines recently by saying that Victor Osimhen is too good to be playing in Turkey. He also said Galatasaray was lucky to get him.

The Nigerian striker moved to Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last September. He was hoping for a permanent transfer to another club, but that didn’t happen, so he agreed to the loan deal.

Since arriving in Istanbul, Osimhen has been in top form. He has scored 33 goals in different competitions, making him one of Galatasaray’s best players this season.

Galatasaray wants to keep him
With the season almost over, Galatasaray is interested in keeping Osimhen permanently. The club wants to buy him from Napoli and keep him long-term.

Ali Koc said in an interview that Osimhen is simply too talented to play in the Turkish Super Lig. His words caused a lot of debate among fans and football experts.

Koc told TRT Spor, “Osimhen is a special player and is above the level of football in Turkey. You only see a player like him once in 40 years.”

He added that if everything is done by the rules — including contracts, taxes, and spending — then there shouldn’t be any problem with trying to keep a player like Osimhen.
