EPL: Iwobi battles five players for Fulham’s Goal of the Month

Super Eagles player, Alex Iwobi, has been nominated for Fulham’s Goal of the Month award for April.

Iwobi earned the nomination for his goal in Fulham’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea at Craven Cottage on April 20.

The 29-year-old midfielder scored in the 20th minute by placing the ball past Robert Sanchez from just outside the box.

This goal marked his ninth of the season for Marco Silva’s team.

Chibuzo Nwoko, a Nigerian-born player, is also in the running for the award after his goal in Everton’s U-21 match against Nottingham Forest on April 28.

Other nominees for the Goal of the Month include Rodrigo Muniz, Ryan Sessegnon, Seth Ridgeon, and Emile Smith Rowe.
