Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq helped Valencia earn a point in their 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano on Saturday at Estadio de Vallecas.
Valencia fell behind just before half-time when Cesar Tarrega accidentally scored an own goal. In the 66th minute, Sadiq came on as a substitute for Andre Almeida.
The 27-year-old forward scored the equaliser 16 minutes later, making sure Valencia didn’t leave empty-handed. This goal takes Sadiq’s tally to five goals in 10 LaLiga matches this season.
With this result, Carlos Corberán’s team is now unbeaten in their last seven league games — their longest run without a loss since December 2021.
