Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has shared his thoughts on a possible player swap involving Alejandro Garnacho and Victor Osimhen. Ferdinand believes Garnacho should consider leaving Old Trafford if it means the club can bring in Osimhen from Napoli.

Manchester United are looking for a top striker ahead of the summer transfer window. The club has shown strong interest in Osimhen, who is currently playing on loan at Galatasaray but still belongs to Napoli.

Back in January, Napoli tried to sign Garnacho, but Manchester United turned down the offer. However, Ferdinand now thinks it could be the right time for Garnacho to move to Italy.

Speaking on his podcast, Ferdinand said: “I’d like to see Garnacho playing on the left wing for Napoli, and Osimhen joining Manchester United.”

He added, “If we didn’t have a manager like Amorim who prefers a different playing style, I wouldn’t want to sell Garnacho. I really like him. But if it means getting Osimhen, I’d tell Garnacho to go to Napoli.”
