EPL: Arsenal fails to close gap on Liverpool with draw at Everton

Arsenal dropped valuable points in their chase for the Premier League title, drawing 1-1 with Everton in Saturday’s early match. The Gunners had won 2-1 against Fulham after the international break and hoped to stay close to Liverpool.

Arsenal took the lead in the first half when Leandro Trossard finished a pass from Raheem Sterling. However, Everton equalized early in the second half. A foul by Myles Lewis-Skelly on Jack Harrison led to a penalty. Iliman Ndiaye stepped up and calmly sent the ball past goalkeeper David Raya to level the score.

With this draw, Arsenal remains with 62 points, 11 behind Liverpool, who plays Fulham on Sunday. Arsenal has only seven games left to catch up.
