Cristiano Ronaldo is getting closer to a big goal in his football career — 1,000 total goals. The Al Nassr star now needs 69 more goals to reach this amazing number.
Ronaldo, who is now 40 years old, scored two goals in a recent game where Al Nassr beat Al-Hilal 3-1. That win helped his team close the gap in the league.
Even though fans are excited about the 1,000-goal mark, Ronaldo says he’s not focused on it. After the game, he told reporters, “Lads, let’s enjoy the moment. I’m not chasing 1,000. If it happens, perfect. If it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen. The moment is the most special thing, not what is going to come, you know.”
So far this season (2024-25), Ronaldo has scored 30 goals for Al Nassr in all competitions. If he keeps playing and scoring like this for two more years, he could hit 1,000 career goals.
Whether he reaches the milestone or not, one thing is clear: Ronaldo is still one of the best players in the world.
