Former Besiktas midfielder Sinan Engin has criticized Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen for not performing well in important matches. His comments came after Galatasaray lost 2-1 to Besiktas in a Turkish Super Lig game on Saturday.
Osimhen played the entire match but could not help his team secure a win. His performance has sparked criticism, with Engin questioning his ability to deliver in crucial games.
Speaking on the Assist Analysis YouTube channel, Engin said, “Osimhen never steps up in big matches. If Osimhen is worth 75 million Euros, then I should be worth 100 million Euros compared to Rafa Silva. When Osimhen doesn’t perform, Galatasaray struggles. He needs to improve, especially in key games, because more critical matches are coming.”
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli for the season. So far, he has been impressive in the league, scoring 20 goals and providing 4 assists in 23 appearances. However, critics believe he must do more in high-pressure games.
