No judge can assume duties of President of the United States – Trump fumes

U.S. President Donald Trump has strongly stated that no judge has the power to take over the responsibilities of the President of the United States.

Trump made this statement on Friday through a post on his Truth Social account. He warned that if any judge attempted to assume presidential duties, it would lead to crime and chaos.

He wrote, “No District Court Judge, or any Judge, can assume the duties of the President of the United States. Only Crime and Chaos would result. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

While Trump did not give specific details, his statement may be linked to ongoing conflicts between his administration and some federal judges. Since he returned to the White House in January 2025, there have been several disagreements between his team and the judiciary.

This latest remark adds to the tension between the executive branch and the courts, as legal battles continue in the country.
