EPL: Mikel hints Chelsea could revive interest in Osimhen

Former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi has suggested that the club may try again to sign Victor Osimhen this summer.

Osimhen was close to joining Chelsea last summer, but the deal did not go through due to financial issues. Instead, the 26-year-old striker moved to Turkish club Galatasaray on a one-year loan.

Now, Osimhen is once again linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. Speaking to Sky Sport, Mikel Obi said the Nigerian forward would be a great addition to Chelsea’s attack.

“I know exactly where we stopped. If we want to continue talks in the summer, it will be easy because the player really wants to join Chelsea,” Mikel said.

The former Chelsea star also mentioned that Osimhen and Alexander Isak are among the best strikers Chelsea should consider.

“If Chelsea needs a striker, they should look at Victor Osimhen and Alexander Isak. These two are top-quality forwards,” he added.

With Chelsea looking to strengthen their attack, fans will be eager to see if Osimhen finally makes his way to Stamford Bridge.
