The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Kano State has arrested popular TikTok star, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, for spraying Naira at an event. This act is illegal in Nigeria as it is considered Naira abuse and mutilation.

A source from the EFCC told Freedom Radio Kano that Murja is currently in their custody. The commission has been taking strict action against people who spray money at events like birthdays and parties.

Recently, the EFCC also arrested other TikTok influencers, including Al’amin G-Fresh and Ashir Idris, for similar offenses.

So far, neither the EFCC nor Murja’s legal team has released an official statement about the case.
