Serie A: Lazio coach, Baroni gives injury update on Dele-Bashiru

Lazio manager Marco Baroni has shared a positive update on midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s injury recovery. The Nigerian player has been out for two games due to an ankle injury he picked up during Lazio’s goalless draw against Venezia last month. He was substituted in the 41st minute of that match.

On Wednesday, Dele-Bashiru joined his teammates for partial training, showing signs of progress. Speaking ahead of Lazio’s UEFA Europa League clash with Viktoria Plzen, Baroni said he expects Dele-Bashiru and teammate Castellanos to return before the international break. However, defender Hysaj is likely to come back only after the break.

Dele-Bashiru has been an important player for Lazio this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 23 appearances across all competitions. Fans will be hoping to see him back in action soon.
