Russian drone attack on Ukraine injures four, cuts power

A Russian drone attack hit Ukraine’s Black Sea port city of Odesa on Monday, injuring at least four people and damaging energy infrastructure. This led to power cuts and heating disruptions in the city.

According to Odesa’s regional governor, Oleh Kiper, the attack targeted energy infrastructure, causing blackouts in some areas. Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov confirmed that two of the injured were hospitalized.

Several residential houses and two private kindergartens were also damaged in the attack. However, the mayor later reported that heating was restored to homes after a short disruption.

Russia has not commented on the attack. Both Russia and Ukraine have denied targeting civilians, but thousands of Ukrainian civilians have died since the war began three years ago.

The situation in Ukraine remains tense as attacks on energy infrastructure continue to affect civilians.
