Andy Cole names worst player in Man Utd training

Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole has shared an interesting story about training sessions at the club. Cole, who spent six years at Old Trafford and scored over 100 goals, said that training was extremely intense.

Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, Cole explained that losing in training was frustrating for the players. To make things more competitive, the team had a ‘yellow jersey’ that the worst player had to wear for a week.

When asked who ended up with the yellow jersey the most, Cole laughed and said, “Pally. Pally used to get it a lot.” He was referring to former United defender Gary Pallister.

Despite this, Pallister was an important player for Manchester United in the 1990s. He won four Premier League titles and was named in the PFA Team of the Year five times.

This story shows how competitive Manchester United players were during the club’s most successful years under Sir Alex Ferguson.
