Russian security forces have shot and killed a man suspected of planning terrorist attacks in Moscow. According to Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), the man was preparing to target the Moscow metro and a Jewish religious institution in the Moscow region.
The FSB said its officers tried to arrest him, but he resisted. In response, they fired back and killed him.
Authorities also revealed that the suspect had planned to travel to Afghanistan to join a terrorist group. The incident highlights ongoing security concerns in Russia, with officials working to prevent possible attacks.
