Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has provided 24 locally made Roxettes Utility Pick-Up vans to members of the Abia State House of Assembly. The vehicles will help them carry out their duties more effectively.
Governor Otti handed over the keys to the Speaker of the House, Emmanuel Emeruwa. He said the vehicles fulfill his promise to give lawmakers the right tools for their work.
He also highlighted his administration’s commitment to supporting local manufacturers. The vans were built in Abia by an indigene from Umunneochi LGA. The manufacturer is finishing his factory in Obuaku, Ukwa West LGA, and the road leading to it is almost done.
The governor emphasized that his goal is to improve the quality of local products and boost confidence in Nigerian-made goods.
On behalf of the lawmakers, Deputy Speaker Augustine Meregini thanked Governor Otti for providing the second batch of vehicles to support their work.
