Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has denied allegations made by his daughter-in-law, Wunmi. She had claimed that he prevented the arrest of the nurse who gave Mohbad an injection before his death.
During an interview on February 19, 2025, Wunmi told journalist Chude Jideonwo that Aloba intervened and stopped them from taking action against the nurse. However, in a TikTok live session on Tuesday, Aloba strongly denied this claim.
“I have never seen the nurse before,” he said. “If I had, it would have only been on the internet. I never had any conversation with her, and I was never introduced to any nurse that night.”
His response came shortly after a Lagos State Magistrate Court ruled that Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and PrimeBoy were not involved in Mohbad’s death. However, the court confirmed that the nurse would face trial.
The investigation into Mohbad’s death continues, as fans and family members seek justice for the late singer.
