Neymar ‘close to making stunning return to his boyhood club Santos’

Neymar is reportedly getting closer to making a surprising return to his boyhood club, Santos. After a difficult time at Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, it seems the Brazilian star could be heading back to where it all started.

Neymar, 32, joined Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023 for £78 million after leaving PSG. However, he has only played seven matches, struggling with injuries. He’s still recovering from a hamstring injury, which he suffered in November after being out for almost a year with a serious knee injury.

Now, with Neymar not being registered for the second part of the Saudi Pro League season, Santos has offered him a way back to Brazil. Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Santos is ahead of other clubs like Chicago Fire in trying to bring Neymar back home.

Neymar’s return to Santos would be a moment of celebration for the club and fans, as he scored 107 goals in 177 games for them before becoming one of the world’s top football stars. With his contract at Al-Hilal expiring soon, it’s likely that Neymar will be able to choose his next move, and it seems Santos is leading the way.

While there have been rumors about Neymar moving to the MLS, Santos seems to be the most likely option for his next chapter. Fans of Neymar and Brazilian football will be eager to see if he can return to his roots and make a comeback at Santos.
