Bauchi governor fires five commissioners

The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has reshuffled his cabinet and removed five commissioners from their positions. This decision was announced on Tuesday, January 7, in a press release issued by his media aide, Mukhtar Gidado.

The governor explained that the reshuffle is aimed at improving governance and ensuring better service delivery for the people of Bauchi State. According to the statement, the decision is part of efforts to inject new energy and ideas into the administration while addressing challenges effectively.

The commissioners affected by this move are:

  • Jamila Dahiru (Education)
  • Abdulhameed Bununu (Internal Security and Home Affairs)
  • Usman Danturaki (Information and Communication)
  • Madugu Yalams (Agriculture)
  • Yakubu Ibrahim (Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation)

Governor Bala thanked the outgoing commissioners for their service and dedication. He acknowledged their efforts in advancing the administration’s policies and initiatives aimed at developing the state.

To fill the vacant positions, the governor has sent the names of potential replacements to the state House of Assembly for approval. The nominees are Babayo Tilde, Abdullahi Mohammed, Bala Lukshi, Usman Shehu, Iliyasu Gital, Titus Ketkukah, Babayo Gabarin, and Lawal Rimin Zayam.

Governor Bala reassured the people of Bauchi State that his administration remains committed to its mission of delivering meaningful development and improving the welfare of all citizens.
