On Friday, December 27, panic gripped residents of Osogbo, Osun State, when the lifeless body of a man was found under the Okefia Flyover. Eyewitnesses revealed that the man was partially unclad, but the cause of his death remains unclear.

A local trader named Chibuzor explained that the body was first noticed around midday, leading concerned citizens to contact security personnel for assistance. Officers from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) responded promptly, teaming up with officials from Osogbo West Local Government to handle the situation.

During the investigation, a bag containing clothes was found beside the corpse, offering potential clues about the incident. NSCDC Osun Command spokesperson Adeleke Kehinde confirmed that the case is being thoroughly investigated to uncover what led to the man’s death.

In response to the incident, Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi, Executive Director of the World Institute of Peace, called for increased security around flyovers in the state. He emphasized that enhanced security measures could help deter criminal activities and improve public safety.

Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities as the investigation continues.
