Cristiano Ronaldo, the most followed person on Instagram with 639 million followers, posted a video on his page on Wednesday. The video features Asake’s new song ‘Active’ from his album ‘Lungu Boy.’
The post quickly went viral, reaching 18.7 million views, 1.2 million likes, and over 20,000 comments in less than four hours.
This is not Ronaldo’s first time showcasing Afrobeats music. Last March, he shared a cute video of his children dancing to ‘Calm Down’ by Nigerian artist Rema.
In the video, Ronaldo uses Asake’s hit song to promote his new YouTube content, which has already gained over 313,000 views and 90,000 likes within just 3 hours of being posted.
Ronaldo’s YouTube channel, where he shares personal and family life moments along with interviews, has been growing rapidly. Since its launch on August 21, his channel reached one million subscribers in just 90 minutes, a record-breaking achievement. He also set a new record by hitting 10 million subscribers in less than 24 hours. His channel now boasts over 62 million subscribers after just over 2 months.
