Villagers from Kwatarkwashi district in Zamfara State killed a suspected armed bandit on Friday near the Gusau-Zaria road.

A local resident, who chose to remain anonymous, said that the community recognized the man as one of the criminals causing problems in their area. They chased him down and killed him.

The villager also mentioned that after killing the bandit, the villagers found two advanced guns in his possession.

He added that the bandit’s body was left on the side of the Gusau-Zaria road, while the villagers continued with their daily activities.

It was also mentioned that just a few days earlier, two suspected informants were caught in the Kura area, which is close to where the bandit was killed.
