In April 2023, a data analyst shared some bold predictions about Nigeria’s future on X. He forecasted that the removal of the fuel subsidy would lead to record-breaking inflation, cause many companies to fail, and force the government to raise taxes to replace lost revenue.

Fast forward to September 2024, and his predictions have largely come true. The analyst recently revisited his tweet, jokingly comparing himself to a prophet. He humorously questioned whether his followers knew him personally, mimicking the way some religious leaders speak after their predictions come to pass.

This playful post has led Nigerians to start calling him “Daddy,” a term of respect usually reserved for religious figures. They are now eagerly asking him to share his predictions about their own lives.
