The Federal Capital Territory Police Command (FCT) has released the names and photos of two police officers who were killed during a recent clash with members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), commonly known as Shi’ites.
The officers, ASP Innocent Agabi and Inspector Alexander Odey, were killed when Shi’ite members attacked a police checkpoint in the Wuse area of Abuja last week. Alongside these tragic deaths, four other officers, including a female, sustained injuries in the attack. The Shi’ite members also set three patrol vehicles on fire during the clash.
The FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, posted the names and photos of the deceased officers on Sunday, September 1, to honor their memory and provide public information about the incident.
