On Friday morning in the Papalanto area of Ogun State, a woman and her granddaughter were tragically killed when an Iveco truck ran over their tricycle. The truck, which was trying to overtake the tricycle, caused it to fall and then crushed it. The driver of the truck fled before being caught.

According to Babatunde Akinbiyi from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, the accident occurred early Friday and was caused by dangerous driving. The truck dragged the tricycle along and eventually ran over it, killing the two women instantly. Four people were involved in the crash, but the truck driver escaped.

The deceased were taken by their relatives, and the injured tricycle driver was rushed to a hospital by a passerby. This incident follows another truck accident in the Lafenwa area of Ogun, which killed four people and injured two.
