In a recent major operation, the Kano State Police arrested 41 suspects and seized dangerous weapons and intoxicating drugs. This move is part of the ongoing efforts to tackle crime in the state.
According to SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the police spokesperson, these raids were conducted following orders from the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun. The aim is to ensure constant police presence and use intelligence-led tactics to combat crime.
Led by Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, the Kano State Police focused on criminal hideouts and trouble spots in Kano Metropolis. This effort resulted in the arrest of 41 individuals and the recovery of various illegal weapons and drugs. The investigation is still ongoing.
