Nchabeleng’s boyfriend, who was not affiliated with NWU, was found dead in Sharpeville the same day. Authorities found a note near his body, which led them to Nchabeleng’s location. The police are currently investigating the circumstances of her death, and no arrests have been made yet.
The NWU community is in shock and mourning the loss of the graduating BEd student. The university has extended its deepest condolences to Nchabeleng’s family and friends.
