In a violent raid on Friday night, bandits attacked the residence of Alhaji Sanusi Ango Gyaza, an aide to the Katsina State Governor. The assailants killed Gyaza and his wife. They also kidnapped Gyaza’s other wife during the attack.

The Katsina State Police Command was contacted for more information, but no further details have been released yet.

In a separate incident, over 20 medical and dental students, including a House Officer named Dr. Louis, were kidnapped in Benue State. The students were on their way to a convention in Enugu when they were ambushed. The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N50 million for their release.
