In a tragic incident in Igede-Ekiti, Ekiti State, a man has killed his former wife and then taken his own life.

The man, whose identity has not yet been revealed, lured his ex-wife to his home under the guise of wanting her to see their sick child.

The woman, who had moved away after their separation, brought someone with her for protection due to concerns about her safety.

Once she arrived at his house, the man brutally attacked her, stabbing her multiple times.

After ensuring she was dead, he turned the knife on himself, stabbing himself in the abdomen. Another report indicates that he also consumed a toxic insecticide known as Sniper.
