Peter Obi Wrote,
Today, I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of my younger brother, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who represented the Anambra South Senatorial District. We were together on July 12 at the burial of Chief Pius Onwuzo in Nnewi, Anambra State.
At the event, Senator Ubah greeted me warmly and invited me to lunch at his home, but I had to decline due to other commitments. During our discussion about the nation’s issues, he expressed his newfound understanding of my commitment to improving humanity and showed his support for this cause. He assured me that, despite our different political affiliations, we would continue to work together as a family to serve our people.
I also acknowledged his significant contributions through the Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, which supports the less fortunate by investing in education, health, and poverty alleviation. I encouraged him to persist in these important efforts.
May God forgive his sins and grant him eternal peace. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, the Anambra South Senatorial District, Anambra State, and all who mourn his loss. May God continue to protect and bless his family always.
