Peter Obi Doesn’t Support Labour Party’s Manifesto – Alleges Reno Omokri

Socio-political activist and former presidential aide Reno Omokri has made startling claims about Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party. According to Omokri, Obi does not believe in the Labour Party’s manifesto and appears to lean more towards the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a recent statement posted on X, Omokri emphasized his support for policies that align with the manifesto of the Peoples Democratic Party. He expressed a strong sense of patriotism and pride in supporting such policies, hinting at a deeper allegiance to the PDP.

Omokri’s remarks have sparked discussions about political affiliations and the alignment of candidates with party ideologies. As the political landscape evolves in anticipation of the 2023 elections, such statements could significantly influence public perception and strategic alliances among political players.

The allegations made by Omokri raise questions about party loyalty and the sincerity of candidates in upholding their respective party manifestos. With Peter Obi’s stance brought into question, observers and voters alike may scrutinize his political decisions and the implications for the Labour Party’s electoral prospects.

He said,

“Even Peter Obi was put on the 2019 PDP ticket by the grace of God using my efforts. And he cannot deny it because I am a meticulous record-keeper and [I] kept paper records. Peter Obi does not even believe in the official Labour Party manifesto. He is more politically attuned to us in the PDP.

“During the elections, politicians and their strategists will attack each other. It is all part of the way politics is played. After elections, we move from battleground to common ground.

“There are no permanent friends or enemies in politics. But with death threats to my child and with their leader keeping quiet when it was brought to his attention, there is permanent enmity.

“Peter Obi will NEVER be President of Nigeria, and we will fight to ensure that even if he returns to the PDP, he will NEVER get on our ticket. But beyond that, we are moving on with one Nigeria.”
