Nollywood star Amaechi Muonagor was laid to rest amidst an outpouring of grief from colleagues, friends, and fans.
Onyenji, a prominent figure in the industry, noted that Nollywood has lost a talented actor with the passing of Amaechi Muonagor. He highlighted the presence of the Anambra State government at the funeral, showing their support for Nollywood during this difficult time. Onyenji praised Muonagor for his significant contributions to the industry and for mentoring many upcoming stars.
Emeka Ejezie, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), urged Muonagor’s bereaved family to take heart, recognizing the deceased as a great man. Represented by veteran actor Steve Eboh, Ejezie offered prayers, asking God to grant the family strength and comfort during their time of loss.
Mrs. Chinyere Anyaegbunam, the state chairman of AGN, expressed her sorrow, stating that they had lost someone very precious to all in the industry. She emphasized that the late Muonagor was a father figure to many and had mentored numerous actors and actresses in Nollywood.
