Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured Nigerians that the government is dedicated to protecting the nation from failure.
He emphasized that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration will do whatever is necessary to prevent Nigeria from collapsing.
Shettima made this statement during the 17th Annual Banking and Finance Conference in Abuja, organized by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
He pointed out that the banking industry is vital in addressing the many challenges facing Nigeria’s economy.
Vice President also encouraged participants at the conference to use the opportunity to discuss and find solutions to both national and global issues.
These remarks come at a time when Nigerians are dealing with two significant challenges: inflation, which has reached 33.40 percent, and the recent increase in petrol prices from N617 to N897 per litre.
