Spain captain, Alvaro Morata, has agreed to give half of his earnings made during his marriage to his ex-wife, Alice Campello, following their divorce.
The 31-year-old former Chelsea striker and the 29-year-old model separated in mid-August after seven years of marriage and having four children together. Reports suggest that an argument following Spain’s Euro 2024 final victory over England may have contributed to their split.
During the celebration on the pitch after Spain’s win in Germany, the couple reportedly had a disagreement. Alice wanted only herself, their children, and her friends on the pitch with Morata and did not want his parents or family present, which reportedly strained their relationship.
Despite the rumors, both Morata and Campello have maintained that they still care for each other. Morata has denied allegations of infidelity, explaining that he didn’t attend the national team’s party to avoid any such rumors.
Lawyers are currently preparing the divorce papers, with the separation being a mutual decision. Morata, who recently signed with AC Milan after two years at Atletico Madrid, is reportedly willing to give up half of his earnings from their marriage and has no interest in contesting any part of the settlement.
The couple, who married under a community property agreement, are keen to avoid any legal battles, and Morata has expressed his desire to keep things amicable for the sake of their children.
