In a disturbing event between Kwaku and Gawu villages in the Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), a suspected motorcycle thief met a tragic end at the hands of a mob.

The incident occurred around 3 PM on Sunday, aligning with Kwaku’s market day. According to Samson Ishaya, a local resident, the trouble began when two men allegedly stole a motorcycle at a drinking joint situated behind the market. A man at the joint noticed the theft and raised an alarm, drawing the attention of nearby commercial motorcyclists.

The motorcyclists quickly pursued the suspects. During the chase, the two thieves lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. One of the men managed to escape, but the other wasn’t so fortunate. The mob caught him, and in a brutal act of mob justice, set him on fire, resulting in his death.
