In a tragic incident in the Gadabuke community of Toto Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, gunmen killed one person and kidnapped two others. The attack took place early on August 25, 2024, around 2:00 am.
The victim, identified as Garba Yakubu, was shot when the attackers stormed the home of Agaba Yakubu. Sadly, Garba Yakubu lost his life, while two others were taken away by the gunmen. Their identities have not been revealed yet.
Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer for Nasarawa State, confirmed the incident. He stated that after receiving a distress call, the police quickly responded. Unfortunately, Garba Yakubu had already passed away by the time they arrived. His body was handed over to his family for burial according to Islamic customs.
The Commissioner of Police has since strengthened the security presence in Toto and launched a search and rescue mission to find the kidnapped victims.
