Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the President’s wife, has provided financial support to 1,000 women petty traders in Abia State. Each woman received N50,000 through the Renewed Hope Initiative Economic Empowerment Programme. This aid is part of Mrs. Tinubu’s effort to help small businesses and improve the lives of Nigerian families.
The grant was presented by Salamantu Gbajabiamila, the wife of the Chief of Staff to the President. She praised the determination of these women who work hard to support their families despite the challenges.
Mrs. Priscilla Otti, the wife of the Abia State Governor, welcomed the aid, saying it will help the women sustain their families and boost the local economy.
Governor Alex Otti’s deputy, Ikechukwu Emetu, also praised the women traders as “unsung heroes” who drive commerce and support their families. He thanked Mrs. Tinubu for the financial support and encouraged the women to use the funds to grow their businesses and inspire others.
