Former Liverpool midfielder, Dietmar Hamann, believes Victor Osimhen has what it takes to become a star in the Premier League.
The Nigerian striker, born in Edo State, joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli last summer, after spending the previous season on loan with the Turkish champions.
Hamann expressed surprise that Osimhen has not played in England yet, saying the striker’s energetic style is perfect for the Premier League.
“Osimhen is an exceptional player. Galatasaray’s strong league performance is largely because of him. I love watching him play,” Hamann told Metro.
He added, “If he played in the Premier League, he would make a big difference for any team.”
Hamann also suggested that Newcastle United should consider signing the forward.
“Liverpool already has two players in that position, so Osimhen might not get a chance there. But with his speed, strength, and sharp finishing, he would be ideal for Newcastle, especially if they sell Nick Woltemade,” he said.
